Team of Bison SMITH & Akitoshi SAITO WINNER of the Global Tag Team Tournament!

*It was a stunning upsets at the final scheduled tag team tournament match at the Nippon Budokan, the
tournament league final show 4/27.
The team of Jun AKIYAMA & Takeshi RIKIOH / Mitsuharu MISAWA & Yoshinari OGAWA lead the tournament
coming into the Budokan show earning 9 points with one match left and followed by the team of Takeshi
MORISHIMA & Muhammad YONE / Bison SMITH & Akitoshi SAITO earning 8 points with one match left coming
into the Budokan show as well.

First scheduled tournament match: Takeshi MORISHIMA & Muhammad YONE vs. Naomichi MARUFUJI & Takashi
SUGIURA, this match up consist of the GHC Heavyweight Singles Title holder Takeshi MORISHIMA and the
team of MARUFUJI & SUGIURA is the current GHC Heavyweight Tag Team Title Holder.
The hard hitting match as MORISHIMA's power lead the match but @24 min 47 sec. teamwork effort of
MARUFUJI & SUGIURA came on top as SUGIURA beat MORISHIMA from 2 consecutive execution of his
power move OLYMPIC-YOSEN-SLAM.
The team of MORISHIMA & YONE finished the tournament with 8 points.
The team of MARUFUJI & SUGIURA finished the tournament with 9 points.
*At this moment, the team of MARUFUJI & SUGIURA kept the hope alive for the tournament depending on
the outcome of the last 2 remaining scheduled matches.

Second scheduled tournament match: Jun AKIYAMA & Takeshi RIKIOH vs. Kensuke SASAKi & Katsuhiko
NAKAJIMA. This match was a battle between 2 former GHC Heavyweight Champions (AKIYAMA & RIKIOH)
vs. current All Japan Triple Crown Champion K. SASAKI & former All Japan World Jr. Heavyweight Champion
K. NAKAJIMA. the match was very one sided mostly as NAKAJIMA was caught by AKIYAMA & RIKIOH's
fast tag combination team work and overpowering NAKAJIMA. But when NAKAJIMA weather through the
heat from AKIYAMA & RIKIOH and finally made the tag to SASAKI, the flow of the match turned.
at the end SASAKI & NAKAJIMA was able to separate AKIYAMA & RIKIOH as SASAKI nailed his NORTHERN-
LIGHT-BOMB on RIKIOH @22 min 17 sec. for the PIN.

*the upset win of SASAKI & NAKAJIMA over AKIYAMA & RIKIOH the two teams, MARUFUJI & SUGIURA /
AKIYAMA & RIKIOH finishing with 9 points still eligible/alive for the tournament championship depending
on the outcome of the final scheduled match between Mitsuharu MISAWA & Yoshinari OGAWA vs.
Bison SMITH & Akitoshi SAITO. (if the match ends in no point draw, the 3 teams will end up with 9 points
as the 3 teams will be matched up for a tie breaker)

The third and final scheduled tournament match: Mitsuharu MISAWA & Yoshinari OGAWA vs. Bison SMITH &
Akitoshi SAITO. MISAWA & OGAWA the veteran tag team knows at this time that they have the advantage
coming in to the match as they will win the tournament with any Win or Time Expired Draw.
For the team of Bison & SAITO, they needed to beat MISAWA & OGAWA clear outright and earn 2 points in
order for them to win the tournament.
The teamwork combination of MISAWA & OGAWA and veteran technique of OGAWA (alot of fans call it the
OGAWA-MAGIC as the Jr. Heavyweight OGAWA were able to win heavyweight singles and tag titles despite
of his physical disadvantage) controlled the match early and double team efforts seemed they were on their
way to win the tournament. But after 15 min into the match BISON & SAITO were able to turn the match
around and BISON held MISAWA with his BISON-TENIEL move as SAITO beat OGAWA from the multiple
SICKLE-OF-DEATH @17 min 16 sec.

Chat with KENTA !

Sat down with KENTA at this past Yamagata Show (11/30).
Subject: His Signature Finish - "GO-2-SLEEP"
*Get the opponent on the shoulder as fireman's carry form, lift the opponent straight up and over
the head to drop down in the front. The left knee strike to hit the chin, throat, upper chest area.

I wanted to set the record straight. Wanted to ask KENTA for his Signature Finish: "GO-2-SLEEP"
The "GO-2-SLEEP" is definately KENTA's original finish! I have seen quite many of the wrestlers
use it as their finishing move and some even calling it the same "GO-2-SLEEP".

So I have asked KENTA, when and how did he come up to develope this "GO-2-SLEEP" move.
KENTA says during his training at the Kick Boxing Gym, he was trying to develope a finishing technique
using his kicking skills following his "BUSAIKU-KNEE KICK" [Knee strike towards opponents Jaw/Face
with use of the rebounding force from the rope]
Interesting part is KENTA says the naming of the finish "GO-2-SLEEP" came to him before actually
developing and perfecting the move.
He used the "GO-2-SLEEP" for the first time back in 2005 against Mitsuharu MISAWA in a singles
match. (one of the 7 singles match series up against the top wrestlers)

KENTA said that he has spent many hours and days in the gym to perfect his signature finishing move
and he says "I know that many wrestlers are using GO-2-SLEEP as their finish. I just wanted to say
that this is my original technique and anyone can try to imitate it but one one will be able to perfect
it like I have. I want to thank all of the fans who's been supported me, cheered for me and I will
continue to do my best to be the best in the ring!"

[So there you go! the Originator of "GO-2-SLEEP" KENTA!]
